Wavefront Lasik is a new way of performing Lasik
that produces dramatically improved vision, particularly better night
vision. The information below shows how patients compare their night vision

How does Wavefront Lasik do this? The eye has many minor imperfections
that are not corrected by glasses or contact lenses. Wavefront technology
allows us to measure and correct these imperfections, by treating each
of 200 separate locations on the eye with its own specific prescription.
Because glasses and contact lenses cannot do this, vision after Wavefront
Lasik is often better than it was with glasses or contact lenses.
Not every person is a candidate for Wavefront Lasik, and we cannot
guarantee in any particular situation that the vision will be better than
with glasses or contact lenses. Non-Wavefront Lasik is of course also
capable of producing excellent vision. We will use the best technology
available and appropriate for your particular situation.
Only one laser – LadarVision by Alcon – has been approved
by the FDA for Wavefront treatments.
